HOW THE COVID-19 RAPID WORKS
Clean the finger with a sterile wipe
Use a lancet to prick the finger, and encourage a droplet of blood to form at the site of puncture
Use a pipette to collect one drop of blood
Release the blood into the cassette's well
Add two drops of buffer solution to the well
Wait up to 15 minutes for results to appear
RESULTS IN 6 SIMPLE STEPS & 15 MINUTES
The test is a single finger prick test which can be done at any location, however if you are a business we recommend setting up a clean, sterile room where your staff can attend individual appointments taking no longer than 30 minutes per person.
Once consent has been obtained and ID verified, there are 6 simple steps for the physical testing procedure.
Please note that this a brief overview of the process, and a more in depth procedure will be covered in the online training module upon order.
The Antibody Testing can provide four (4) results:
meaning you have never had the virus
meaning the participant has the IgM antibody, indicating initial stage of infection
meaning the participant has the IgG antibody and they have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past and therefore there is immunological memory against COVID-19
meaning the participant has the IgM and IgG antibodies and confirms it is a later stage of infection: typically at 7+ days after symptoms appear
If while testing you receive positive IgM or positive IgM and IgG you will need to follow the process of isolation and the guidelines of local and national authorities.
If the test is negative a second test is advised 7-14 days later. It is recommended that companies test staff either weekly, monthly or quarterly depending on the specific requirements.
These results can support you in planning how your business will operate going forward, from how your staff can interact with customers, when employees can be transferred and crucially how day-to-day operations can take place safely whilst maximising productivity.
From key workers, government departments, multinational firms to local businesses the rapid testing kit and the DNA Workplace program is designed to get you back in business by helping know who in your team has developed antibodies to the virus. ADVANCED DUAL ANTIBODY DETECTION
The COVID-19 Rapid test is intended for a trained professional to carry out testing. This detects antibodies related to COVID-19. It is not intended just for testing if a person has COVID-19.
The test looks at both IgM and IgG antibodies. By determining if a person has such antibodies, the test is indicative (not conclusive) as to whether a person currently has COVID-19 or has had it in the past. As such, it is believed that the test kit is an effective indicator of infection, no assurance can be given as to its accuracy.
Regardless of the test results and even if the test detects antibodies related to COVID-19, all individuals subjected to the test should strictly follow government guidelines regarding hygiene, self-isolation and other measures.
