What's Included
Everything this test investigates
The Fitness & Performance package investigates heart health, kidney function, electrolyte balance, liver health, blood count and hormone levels. It also includes a comprehensive iron panel. The 39 markers tested will give you an insight into how your biochemistry is affecting your fitness performance and goals.
Stress
Cortisol is our body's primary stress hormone and is a natural steroid produced by our adrenal glands located just above the kidneys. It has many roles, including helping regulate sleep, blood pressure, blood sugar, energy levels and reducing inflammation.
Strength
Wanting your body to feel stronger? Symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness or breathlessness can be linked to iron deficiency. This test investigates iron and ferritin, checking if your levels are adequate and supporting you to feel your strongest and refreshed every day.
Electrolytes
Electrolytes are essential minerals that help regulate all the chemical reactions in your body, influencing your blood pressure, fluid balance and hydration, blood acidity, nerve function, muscle health and more. A kidney function test will provide an overview of important electrolytes which are crucial for physical health and can affect your endurance and exercise capacity.
Energy & Fitness
Feeling tired, lethargic or lacking concentration? This could be a result of an anaemia, or an imbalance of your blood cells. This test measures the level of red blood cells and white blood cells in your body. Fewer than normal of these cells can lead to low energy, and results outside the expected ranges may also suggest there is an underlying condition that needs to be investigated further.
Hormones
Check your Testosterone and Oestradiol hormones to see how these are impacting all aspects of your health, including energy levels, fertility, alertness and physical characteristics, and gain insight into how your lifestyle, diet, stress, or hormonal replacement therapy could be impacting your levels over time.
Detox
Our liver has an important part to play in daily detoxing any unwanted toxins or chemicals out of our blood and helping to maintain homeostasis. If the liver isn't functioning as well, we can experience symptoms such as sluggishness or fatigue. This package tests for a range of liver function markers which give an indication of how well it is performing its various roles.
Heart Health
Cholesterol is a building block for many hormones, such as oestrogen and testosterone, and is also needed to build healthy cells and vitamins, including Vitamin D. It's important to know there are two different types of cholesterol which have different roles in heart health. Both of these are tested for in this package.
